Adrian Chiles denies affair is behind split with Jane Garvey

His rep says there's no romance with One Show co-host Christine Bleakley

Adrian Chiles and Jane Garvey have been married for 10 years

Adrian Chiles and Jane Garvey have hit back at rumours that their marriage break-up is due to The One Show host's friendship with co-host Christine Bleakley, 27.

The presenters have been seen out together on several occasions, but reps for each say there is no truth in the affair allegations.

Adrian, 41, and Radio 4 Woman's Hour host Jane, 44, announced they were separating earlier this week, with friends blaming his hectic work schedule. He also hosts The Apprentice: You’re Fired and Match Of The Day 2.

‘Jane and Adrian have decided to separate,’ his spokesman tells the Daily Mirror.

‘They remain on good terms and ask for the matter to be sensitively handled for the sake of their daughters.'

Christine has spoken in the past of her on-set chemistry with Adrian.

'[We] get on very well and share a similar sense of humour - daft, dry and a bit quirky,' she said.

'I think it helps any show when the hosts have obvious chemistry.'

The couple have 2 children, Evelyn, 8, and Sian, 5.
