Aussie singer approves of Cheryl Cole’s appointment as new judge

Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue clashed on The X Factor

Dannii Minogue has revealed that working on The X Factor is a lot less stressful now that Sharon Osbourne has quit.

The pair had a frosty relationship when 36-year-old Dannii joined the show last year.

But she says the atmosphere on set is more relaxed now Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, 24, has replaced Sharon, 55.

‘It’s just a dream,’ she tells The Sun. ‘It’s a very different set. No more eyes down during commercial breaks trying not to look tense. It wasn’t the sort of environment I wanted to be in.

‘[Me and Cheryl] started off on a good foot. I went to her dressing room and said: “Welcome to the set, let’s have some fun.”

'I can’t say I don’t enjoy the current situation a lot more.’
