Wesley Snipes has been told to return to police custody following his conviction for tax offences.
The actor was given a 3-year prison term in April for 'wilfully failing to file tax returns' between 1999 and 2001.
He was released on bail by Judge William Terrell Hodges while he appealed the sentence, but the US Attorneys Office has filed a motion demanding he surrender himself.
'We want him in custody,’ spokesman Steve Cole says.
‘He's been convicted by a jury. He has been sentenced to 3 years and he should be in custody.’
Officials have estimated Wesley, 45, owes around £8.5million in back taxes, fines and interest.
He handed over £2.5million on the day of his sentencing.
