Musician forced to cancel festival appearance due to stomach cramps

Kid Rock has been hospitalised for severe stomach cramps and dehydration.

The rocker, real name Robert James Ritchie,was set to perform at the Download Festival on Friday.

But was forced to cancel at the last minute.

‘Kid Rock is not very well – we’ve had to rush him to hospital. He apologises to fans,' a festival organiser tells TMZ.

The star reportedly attended an event at London's Whisky Mist nightclub the evening before the gig.

He was kept in hospital for observation overnight and released.
