Chris Martin admits he's jealous of his wife Gwyneth Paltrow's ex Brad Pitt

Coldplay star Chris Martin has revealed he has a secret drug habit.

But the insists it's not an addiction because it's for prescription sleeping pills.

‘I can't sleep, so I take a lot of sleeping pills,’ he says. ‘I don't really like saying it, but it does take the brain to a different place. It's like a prescription high, I suppose.

‘My problem is that I often take a sleeping pill, but then I get excited about a song. So I go and play music and it kicks in halfway through. I wake up the next morning and find these strange notes to myself.’

Chris, 31, also admits he gets jealous of wife Gwyneth Paltrow’s exes. The 35-year-old Iron Man star was engaged to Brad Pitt, 44, for a year in the late 90s.

‘If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you'd want to prove yourself, know what I mean?’ he tells Rolling Stone.

Chris and Gwyneth have 2 children – Apple, 4, and Moses, 2.
