Toyah Willcox: I see my husband 12 weeks a year

Singer says her marriage is unconventional

Toyah Willcox doesn't see her husband for months on end - and says she likes it that way.

The star married guitarist Robert Fripp in 1986, and the couple have lived separately ever since.

Robert, who is in the band King Crimson, returned to America 7 days after they got hitched.

‘The longest I went without seeing him for was for 11 months in 2000,’ she says.

'I did tell him then it had to stop or our marriage wouldn't work and now we do see more of each other than we did.'

But Toyah, 50, says neither of them worries about infidelity.

'When I met him, he had a reputation for being a womaniser, but that's a 30-year-old reputation, so it's not something I worry about now,' she tells the Daily Mail.

'As for me, men are terrified of me.'
