Pete Wentz is thrilled about the prospect of becoming a dad.

The Fall Out Boy frontman is expecting his 1st child with Ashlee Simpson, and he couldn’t be happier.

‘I'm excited to be a dad,’ he tells E! News.

‘I'm a genuinely nervous person. The first time I ever went to the doctor's office and heard the heartbeat, I felt totally content and at peace with everything. It feels good.’

Pete, 28, and Ashlee, 23, tied the knot in a quiet ceremony in front of family and friends on 17 May.
