Actor applies for marriage licence in New York

Ethan Hawke and Ryan Shawhughes are getting wed

Ethan Hawke has applied for a marriage licence to tie the know with his children's former nanny Ryan Shawhughes.

The couple were spotted in New York on Tuesday sorting out the paperwork.

‘They looked really sweet,’ an onlooker tells Page Six.

Ethan, 37, started dating Ryan, who is pregnant with their first child, in 2004 – shortly after he divorced actress Uma Thurman.

She was employed by the couple to look after their kids Maya Ray, now 9, and Levon Roan, 6.

Uma, 38, is currently dating Swiss financier Arpad Busson, 45.
