DJ Kevin Greening died after gay bondage session
DJ Kevin Greening died from a drugs overdose after taking part in a gay bondage session.
The former Radio 1 breakfast host, 44, was found dead in a black leather sling attached to scaffolding in his boyfriend's bedroom on 29 December.
His partner, Sean Griffin, grew concerned when he noticed his face was pale and called police.
When they arrived at the Wandsworth flat, Kevin was still wearing a rubber suit and had cling film around him.
‘Kevin and I had a very happy and very vigorous sex life,’ Sean told Westminster Coroner's Court.
‘It was not conventional by heterosexual norms perhaps but it was a sex life which was vigorous and imaginative and we enjoyed each other.’
Traces of cocaine, ecstasy and GHB were found in Kevin's blood after his death.
Sean was cautioned for drug possession but murder charges were dropped.
Coroner Paul Knapman recorded a verdict of misadventure.
