Talk show host says she is 'scared' of going bald with chemotherapy

Trisha Goddard has had a radical new look

Brave Trisha Goddard has ditched her long hair extensions as she continues her battle with breast cancer.

The talk show host has unveiled a blonde crop in a bid to come to terms with her expected hair loss from chemotherapy.

'When I learned that I was going to need chemotherapy following my surgery for breast cancer, I had to consider the prospect of losing my hair – something which really scared me,' she says.

'This is my own way of sticking two fingers up at the situation I find myself in.'

But she says the shaving was tough.

'It was actually quite shocking and emotionally draining,' she tells Hello! 'But I’m pleased I’ve made this statement through the hairstyle.'

Trisha, 51, who plans to wear a wig to record her TV show, was diagnosed with breast cancer in March following a routine mammogram.

She has since had a lumpectomy, but still faces several sessions of chemo.

Trisha has been supported by daughters Madison, 14, and Billie, 18, and husband Peter Gianfrancesco.
