So-called "Demon of Screamin,'" Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, has checked himself into a rehab facility, reports TMZ.com.
Tyler, 60, reportedly is seeking treatment for substance abuse at a California facility.
The musician's representative tells PEOPLE he has no knowledge of the situation.
In September 2006, the Aerosmith frontman revealed that in 2003 he had been diagnosed with hepatitis C and had undergone 11 months of treatment.
After keeping quiet about the disease for so long, Tyler said
at the time that he wanted to share his experience and knowledge with
others.
