Hollywood stars turn out to toast TV host as she turns 50

Ellen DeGeneres is 50

The stars turned out in droves to toast Ellen DeGeneres as she held her belated birthday bash.

The TV host turned 50 on 26 January, but has only now managed to find the time to mark the milestone.

Mariah Carey, 38, new husband Nick Cannon, 27, Paris Hilton, 27, boyfriend Benji Madden, 29, Courteney Cox, 43, husband David Arquette, 36, and Tom Hanks, 51, all made an appearance at the event at the Warner Bros studios in Southern California.

Guests were treated to cupcakes, sushi and a dim sum buffet as they were entertained by Pink, 28, and DJ Samantha Ronson, 30, reports People.

Ellen, who was accompanied by girlfriend Portia de Rossi, 35, had a carnival theme for the bash. She even had a big wheel, bumper cars and a carousel.
