Ashley Cole has been slammed for 'reckless' driving

Ashley Cole has been labelled irresponsible for riding a quad bike without a helmet.

The footie hunk, 27, and Chelsea teammates John Terry, 27, Joe Cole, 26, and Steve Sidwell, 25, took 2 blue Yamahas out for a spin on Thursday afternoon.

They rode 4 miles from their grounds in Cobham, Surrey, to neighbouring town Esher.

It's not illegal to ride quad bikes without protective headgear, but the stunt has been labelled reckless by safety experts.
