Coleen McLoughlin: Being engaged changed everything

WAG says it gave them a special bond

Coleen McLoughlin says being engaged to Wayne Rooney has made their relationship stronger.

The Manchester United star proposed 5 years ago when they were both in their teens.

But Coleen, now 22, says it was the right time.

‘I was only 17 and was worried about whether I was a little too young,’ she admits in her autobiography Welcome To My World.

‘But I couldn’t imagine being with anyone other than Wayne for the rest of my life.

'Being engaged changed everything, It gave us that extra bond.’

The couple plan to marry on a luxury yacht this summer.
