Cameron Diaz invites Justin Timberlake to dad's 'party' memorial service

Singer pays his respects to Emilio Diaz

Cameron Diaz invited ex boyfriend Justin Timberlake to an emotional memorial service for her late dad on Sunday.

Emilio Diaz, who was 58, died of pneumonia on 15 April.

The actress dated Justin, 27, for 4 years and asked him and another former boyfriend, John Mayer, to attend the ceremony at Seal Beach, California.

'[My father's] humour and spirit will always live on in our hearts,' Cam said in message to mourners who sent their condolences after her father passed away.

Yesterday's event was a celebration of Emilio's life.

'Most people started arriving at 1.30pm and hardly no one wore black,' a source tells People.com.

'Lots of people were wearing Hawaiian shirts. It looked more like a party.'

Meanwhile, Cam, 35, is said to have split with rumoured new boyfriend Gerard Butler.
