Cameron Diaz has paid tribute to her father Emilio, who died of pneumonia on Monday.
'My mom, sister and I are deeply appreciative of the overwhelming outpouring of love and support during this difficult time for us and all of our family,' she said in a statement to Us Weekly.
'My dad was loved by so many people and his humour and spirit will always live on in our hearts.'
Emilio, who was 58, was said to be in great health before developing flu, which then turned into pneumonia.
Cameron, 35, has taken a break from filming her latest flick My Sister's Keeper, reports TMZ.
Emilio co-starred with his daughter in hit movie There's Something About Mary as the character Jailbird.
