Paula Abdul: Simon Cowell and I are like an old married couple

But the American Idol judge doesn't understand why women find him attractive

Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell began working together on American Idol in 2002

Paula Abdul has admitted that she and Simon Cowell have a very strange relationship.

The American Idol judge says their friendship is so fiery they're like a real-life man and wife.

'It's up and down, like the weather. We're like an old married couple. That's a wretched thought, but it's true!' she says.

But the 46-year-old singer turned presenter doesn't understand why so many women find Simon, 49, attractive.

'A lot of women love him,' she tells Celebs On Sunday.

'No, I don't get it. He'll say: "Paula, you know you want me," and I'll play along with it.

'But somehow I've managed to resist the temptation so far!'
