Amy Winehouse arrested

Singer released on bail after police questioning

Amy Winehouse has been arrested and questioned by police but is now out on bail.

Officers quizzed the 24-year-old singer as part of their investigation into charges against her husband who faces allegations of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 25 - who is also accused of GBH - is in custody in Pentonville prison and will appear in court in January.

'A 24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an east London police station,' a Scotland Yard spokesperson told BBC News.

A statement from Amy's camp says: 'Amy Winehouse attended a London police station today on a voluntary basis at a pre-agreed time.

'She was arrested, as is common practice, she is being interviewed by police.

'No charges have been brought.'
