Paul Potts: I was a virgin until I met my wife

Singer says Julie-Anne is the only woman he's slept with

Britain’s got Talent winner Paul Potts has revealed he was a virgin until he met his wife.

The 36-year-old says he knew Julie-Anne was special as soon as they met on the internet 6 years ago.

‘I had been out with women before but it never felt right and nothing happened. With Jules it was different,’ he says.

‘I had three girlfriends before Jules but she was the first person I slept with.’

Paul started talking to Julie-Anne, 27, in a web chatroom in 2001.

‘I was working at Tesco and I would come home and log on,' he tells BANG Showbiz. 'We got chatting and we got on really well.

‘When we met at the train station I saw a woman and I just knew it was her immediately even though I’d never seen a picture.’
