Monica Lewinsky gets degree in social psychology

Bill Clinton's pal graduates from London School of Economics

Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, remembered for her sexual relationship with former President Bill Clinton, has received a Master's of Science degree in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics, her publicist has announced.

Her academic thesis was titled In Search of the Impartial Juror: An exploration of the third-person effect and pre-trial publicity.

"When Lewinsky walked across the stage to receive her degree and to shake hands with Sir Howard Davies, Director of LSE, the audience of students and parents erupted in spontaneous applause," said publicist Barbara Hutson's statement. "It was a very emotional moment for her."

The Southern California-born Lewinsky, 32, who was 21 when she became involved with Clinton, is interviewing for jobs in Britain, added Hutson, of Wits End Media.

The rep also said that Lewinsky spent the past year studying and "staying away from the London social scene."
