Janet Jackson: My guy liked my fat

Singer's boyfriend Jeramine Dupri loved her hot fudge sundae folds

Janet Jackson's boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri, didn't mind when she packed on a reported 60 lbs. for a film role, the singer says.

In fact, "He loved it," Jackson, 40, says on Friday's Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"He likes my true self," Jackson tells DeGeneres. "It's unconditional love there, so he was always grabbing my extra stuff and looking into my eyes and telling me that he loves me and it (the weight) needs love too, and then he'd kiss me and smile at me."

"That's adorable," DeGeneres says.

Replies Jackson, "It really was, and I never had that before in a relationship."

When she was gaining the weight, Jackson says, "The big thing for me to eat was a hot-fudge sundae from 31 Flavors."

Still, the now-slim Jackson told TV's Extra in September, "I could not believe how big I was, how heavy I really was. I would see myself in the mirror, but I wouldn't look too often. I didn't want to get used to that image."

On Friday's show, DeGeneres also asks Jackson whether she and Dupri, 34, will get married.

"If that's what he wants to do," Jackson says.
