Gordon Ramsay paid for his brother’s heroin

Top chef bought drugs to help addict sibling get through father’s funeral

Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay has told how he paid for heroin for his drug-addict brother Ronnie - so he could attend their father's funeral.

The 39-year-old celebrity chef was desperate for his younger sibling, 38, to go with him to the ceremony in Margate seven years ago.

Ronnie, a desperate drug addict, was refusing to go to the funeral so Gordon gave him money to get what he needed to get through.

In his autobiography, Humble Pie, Gordon says: 'I thought it was better for him to be there and off his face than not there at all. Ronnie was out of it in any case. He could have been at a family christening for all he knew.'
