Paris Hilton stopped by police
Paris Hilton has been arrested for being over the drink drive limit.
The hotel heiress was stopped by police at 12.30am for 'driving erratically' in her £300,000 Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren. She was breathalysed and recorded an alcohol level of 0.8 per cent - just over the limit.
Paris, 25, said she hadn't eaten all day and had only drunk one cocktail at a charity bash. She was on her way to buy burgers with Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberley when the arrest was made.
The Simple Life star was taken to Hollywood police station and was later released at 2am.
She says: 'My SLR is pretty fast, so maybe I was speeding a little bit and got pulled over.'
Her publicist Elliot Mintz says: 'She was literally the minimum over the limit that you would need to be to warrant being pulled over. She is taking this seriously.'
