Jordan and Pete at loggerheads again
It’s been the most vicious divorce ever in showbiz.
In a Now exclusive, we’ve learnt Katie, 34, has been contacting allies of Peter’s.
The race to recruit support comes as the pair are hurtling towards a dramatic High Court showdown that could see them forced to testify against each other – and all the ‘big secrets’ they’ve been hinting at for years becoming public.
Last week it appeared Katie‘s been meeting with Peter‘s allies – she Tweeted Lizzie Cundy, a client of Can Associates (who manage Pete, 40) saying: ‘look forward to lunch next week xxx’.
She then Tweeted Claire Caudwell, founder of the Caudwell Children’s Ball, who work closely with Can and Peter.
Katie said: ‘looking forwards to a catch up xxx’.
Claire replied: ‘Yes lots to chat about.
‘Looking forward to seeing you soon xx’.
Peter has also got some surprising supporters: Katie‘s ex Leandro Penna, 27, has become friends with the Aussie singer, saying: ‘I like Peter - he is a very good father.’
As Now revealed last year, Katie launched a £250,000 legal case against Peter and his management Can Associates, claiming they tried to lead a smear campaign against her by saying she bedded married horse trainer Andrew Gould.
She and Andrew strongly deny the claims, while Peter and Can also deny the accusations about them.
London‘s Royal Courts of Justice told Now a date has not been set, but confirmed the case is still very much active.
A source says: ‘Pete‘s not going to roll over without a fight.
‘He wants to end it as soon as possible for the sake of their kids, but it’s still up in the air.’
If the pair can’t solve their differences it could be months of infighting before a court date.
Celebrity divorce lawyer James Maguire says: ‘It’s one of the most publicised breakups in terms of the intensity of it.’
Katie and Pete‘s reps refused to comment.
