Emily, 24, has been training as a doctor for the past few years and will resume her studies later next year, something Pete is very supportive of despite the childcare issues it may cause.
‘She is going back to medical school in September to finish her degree, yes, but I will still work because I love what I do,' says Pete, 40.
‘It's all about finding the right balance. It's going to be tough!
‘But it has to be that way because it's important that Ems finishes her degree. She's worked so hard for it.
‘I'm incredibly proud of Emily. By the end of next year, she'll be a fully qualified doctor - can you believe it?!'
Pete - who is already a dad to Junior, 8, and Princess, 6, from his marriage to Katie Price - wants to take plenty of paternity leave after the new addition arrives though.
‘I'm hoping it will be a substantial amount because I want to be at home with Emily and the baby so we can bond as a family,' the singer says.
‘We'll never get these days back once they're gone and I know from personal experiences just how quickly they go!'
