Chris Evans put his 21-year estrangement with daughter Jade behind him as he supported her at her wedding on Saturday.

The BBC Radio 2 DJ, 47, arrived at St Michael's Church in Ascot, Berkshire arm-in-arm with Jade, 26, and walked her down the aisle to wed car mechanic Callum Hewitt.

Chris appeared 'scared' and was 'shaking slightly' before the ceremony - reportedly telling a bystander that he was 'in a panic' - but smiled broadly as he led Jade into the venue.

He'd driven his eldest child and her four bridesmaids in a classic Aston Martin and Jade and Callum were later waved away in Chris's pink Rolls-Royce Ghost.

Chris has previously admitted that he was 'selfish' for abandoning Jade after she was born to his ex Alison Ward when he was a 21-year-old budding star.

He supported Jade financially but wasn't involved in her childhood.

The pair reconciled in 2008 after Chris's wife Natasha Shishmanian suggested they meet up and he recently said that nothing 'is bigger' than having Jade back in his life.

Jade moved into the gatehouse on Chris's Ascot estate last year and invited Natasha and the couple's young sons Noah and Eli to her big day.
