Kate Middleton has made only two outings since announcing her pregnancy.
She enjoyed a performance of Cirque du Soleil's Kooza show and also visited London's National Portrait Gallery wearing a burgundy dress from Whistles.
At just over 13 weeks pregnant, the Duchess of Cambridge, 31, is at that awkward stage where she's started to develop a small bump but isn't big enough for maternity wear.
So she's been relying on sister Pippa, 29, to help - they've been sifting through Kate's existing wardrobe to choose outfits that flatter her growing bump and have enough gape to last her for a few more months.
A source says: 'Kate doesn't want to spend money on maternity clothes if she can help it, but it's unlikely she'll have enough items suitable as her bump continues to grow.
'It's become a real bonding thing for her and Pippa.'
