After her bout of morning sickness in the early stages of her pregnancy, Kate Middleton's sensibly taking everything slowly.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 31, has made only two rare outings since - to watch Cirque du Soleil's Kooza show and to see the unveiling of her portrait at London's National Portrait Gallery.

She and Prince William, 30, are immersed in preparing for the arrival of their first child in July and we're told the Queen's given Kate a few tips.

A source says: 'She's advised her to drink Earl Grey tea and eat ginger nut biscuits for her morning sickness.'

And despite being told to try protein shakes to suppress her nausea, Now's learnt that Kate finds fresh chicken soup works better.
