But this summer we fell in love with athletics - and Team GB's Jonnie Peacock! He won gold - and our hearts - in the T44 100m at the Paralympic Games.
The 19-year-old, who lost his right leg to meningitis when he was just five, is planning a nice Christmas at home with his mum, stepdad and sister.
'We'll have a roast, watch lots of TV and open presents,' he tells us.
'There'll also be a tin of Celebrations passed round and loads of food.
'Sometimes I'll allow myself a couple of drinks. I only had a few last year but I might have a few more this Christmas!
'I'll bring some tequila. I haven't seen my mum or stepfather drink that before, so that should be quite funny.'
We last saw Jonnie having a drink on Alan Carr: Chatty Man!
'I don't remember too much after that Jägerbomb, to be honest!' Jonnie confesses.
'It was just weird that I was asked to be on the show.
'Things like that still surprise me because I watch these shows.
'I think: "Why the hell do they want me on there?"
'I was there sat next to Matt Smith - he's Doctor Who!- and I felt like some little kid.
'I felt like I'd been plucked out of the crowd and asked to come and have a chat.'
