Rapper PSY shows off the dance moves that made him famous

He performed at the MTV Video Music Awards last week and he counts Britney Spears as a fan, but just who is PSY?

The South Korean rapper has become an internet sensation following his hit music video Gangnam Style which has been viewed more than 131 million times on YouTube.

'I am LOVING this video - so fun!' Britney Tweeted on August 28 2012, along with a link to PSY's viral hit video.

'Thinking I should possibly learn the choreography. Anybody wanna teach me?! haha.'

The X Factor judge's wish came true when PSY - real name Park Jae-Sang - taught her the famous 'horse dance' on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Tweeting a photo of PSY, Simon Cowell and herself, Britney boasted: 'I learned how to go Gangnam style from the master today!'

PSY has signed a deal in the US with Scooter Braun, who manages Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The video and accompanying dance have spawned numerous spoofs, including a live version by Nelly Furtado.

'I never expect things like this, not because they are top stars but because this is the biggest market in the universe for pop music,' PSY himself marvels in an interview with Canadian newspaper The Chronicle Herald.

'I'm still saying, "What am I doing here? This is beautiful."'
