Zayn Malik has thanked One Direction's fans on Twitter for supporting them through their performance at the Olympic Closing Ceremony on Sunday.
The boys sang What Makes You Beautiful on a moving carnival truck - and taking part in the show meant a lot to them.
‘Was such an honour to perform at the closing ceremony last night,' Tweeted Zayn, 19, on Monday.
‘Thank you guys for getting us there, your all incredible. Love Ya's ;) x'
Harry Styles, 18, added: ‘Last night was the biggest performance of our careers, thank you for making it happen' and Liam Payne, 18, told his Twitter followers:
‘Olympic ceremony was amazziinnggg! So greatfull that they asked us to perform! A performance that ill never ever forget !!! :)'
The lads were grateful to the Games organisers for making London 2012 run smoothly.
‘I also want to say what an incredible job London did for hosting such a huge event,' Tweeted Louis Tomlinson, 20.
‘We have made our country proud !'
1D were also thrilled to meet Team GB and other celebs at the gig.
