Gary Barlow was awarded an OBE in June
Gary Barlow joined his Take That bandmates on Sunday night to perform at the Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games - just over a week after his baby daughter was delivered stillborn.
The 41-year-old singer and his wife Dawn, 42, were devastated by the loss of fourth child Poppy on 4 August and it was uncertain whether Take That would still take part in the show.
But Gary joined Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen to sing Rule The World during the final stages of the show.
Many celebs took to Twitter to praise The X Factor judge's bravery.
‘I don't know how Gary Barlow does it. #amazing,' Tweeted Lily Allen.
‘Gary Barlow. A brave man. And a national treasure,' said David Walliams.
‘We love you Gary.'
