Katie Price is happily engaged to toyboy Leandro Penna, 26, but after ex Peter Andre, 39, began seeing Emily Macdonagh, 22, she's been unable to contain her curiosity.
Aside from a five-month fling with Elen Rivas that began in April 2011, Pete's enjoyed being single since spliting with Katie in May 2009.
He met medical student Emily, 22, two years ago, after her father Dr Ru Macdonagh treated him for kidney stones, but they were just friends until last month.
Katie, on the other hand, has notched up one husband and a fiancé since splitting with Pete.
Following the breakdown of her marriage to Alex Reid, 36, she's now set to walk down the aisle for the third time with Leandro.
'As far as she's concerned there must've been something behind Pete's decision to go public with Emily,' reveals an insider.
'She wanted to know if Pete was trying to send her a message in some way.'
Sources claim Katie always believed Peter would come crawling back one day.
'She thought he'd find a face-saving way of getting back with her,' says a source. 'So even though he's been linked with a number of women she was never threatened by them.
'But Emily's different. She comes across as demure and in awe of Pete, unlike the women he's been with in the past.'
Katie's told friends she wants to meet Emily face-to-face.
'She wants to get a clear idea of who'll be around her children,' says our source.
'She also wants to get an insight into who this girl really is.'
