Sylvester Stallone's son Sage Stallone may have accidentally overdosed on pills in a bid to numb his pain from extensive dental surgery, according to his mum Sasha Czack.
The filmmaker, who was 36, had five teeth taken out two weeks before he was found dead in his apartment in Studio City, near Hollywood on Friday.
'I told him not to do that,' Sasha tells the New York Post.
'I've heard about people dying having multiple procedures done to you mouth. Do not have more than one tooth [pulled].'
The Los Angeles coroner's office has confirmed that bottles of pills were found at Sage's home but toxicology results aren't expected to be released for at least four weeks.
Sylvester, 66, spoke out about his grief earlier this week.
'When a parent loses a child, there is no greater pain,' he said.
'Therefore I am imploring people to respect my talented son's memory and feel compassion for his loving mother Sasha Czack.
'This agonising loss will be felt for the rest of our lives. Sage was our first child and the centre of our universe and I am humbly begging for all to have my son's memory and soul left in peace.'
