Tom Cruise is dedicated to his daughter Suri Cruise

Tom Cruise is to be reunited with his 6-year-old daughter Suri for the first time since his wife Katie Holmes filed for divorce last month.

The pair agreed a divorce settlement on Monday and the actor's attorney Bert Fields says that Tom can't wait to spend time with his little girl again.

'He will be seeing Suri very soon. I don't know exactly when that will be, and I couldn't tell you, but I do know it will be very soon,'he tells US Weekly.

'Tom loves his Suri very, very much, as he does his other two children. Tom is a family man, and dedicated to his children. They are the centre of his world.'

Meanwhile, Bert has threatened to sue US publication National Enquirer after they labelled Tom, 50, a 'monster' in a cover story.

He described the allegation as a 'scurrilous attack' and warned it would cause his client 'hundreds of millions of dollars of professional and personal damages'.

'Please consider this a demand that you immediately retract each and every one of your false assertions about Mr Cruise,' writes Bert in a letter to publishers American Media.

'With the same prominence and emphasis as you gave your original false and defamatory assertions.'
