Kate Middleton to copy Prince William and sleep rough in London for homeless charity
Kate Middleton is to spend a night on the streets of London to raise awareness for a homeless charity.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 30 - who shares a luxury home in the grounds of Kensington Palace with Prince William when the couple are in the capital - has agreed to take part in Centrepoint's Sleep Out initiative with Loose Women star Lisa Maxwell.
'I work with Centrepoint and William's our patron. We had a little do and they both came down,' Lisa, 48, tells the Daily Mirror.
'She asked me about sleeping out and, so I said: "Next time I do it, you're doing it with me. No excuses, he's done it".
'She said: "You're on".'
Wills, 30, camped by a wheelie bin near Blackfriars Bridge in 2009 to discover first-hand what rough sleepers go through each night.
'Prince William took away from the experience the importance of tackling all the issues that cause the homeless to be homeless and stay homeless, from drug dependency to mental health problems,' a royal spokesperson said at the time.
