Liam Payne can add fishing to his list of talents
Liam Payne hooked a shark on a recent fishing trip in San Diego with One Direction.

The 18-year-old singer was enjoying some time off from the band's hectic US tour schedule when he unexpectedly felt a bite on his line.

'We went fishing for half an hour and there was nothing happening at all,' he tells The Sun.

'Then I pulled out a baby tiger shark.'

And 18-year-old Liam, who says it was his second time ever with a fishing rod, had every reason to be impressed with his catch -  the man-eating predator can grow to up to 20ft long. 

Unsurprisingly, the 1D star chose to throw his catch back into the water.
