Police officers were left a little red-faced when they stopped a motorbike rider - only to find it was Prince Harry.
The 27-year-old royal had a mystery blonde riding pillion and was en route to a romantic picnic date when he was intercepted on London's Putney Bridge.
But Harry - who drives a 160mph Ducati 848 - had done nothing wrong.
'It must have been embarrassing for Harry - he was keen to impress, having decided to surprise [his date] with a picnic,' a source tells The Sun.
'The officer said: "Can you take your helmet off?" and Harry replied: "I would rather not."
'His minders stepped in and the officer said: "I'm so sorry."'
The incident is thought to have taken place 6-8 months ago and the name of Harry's mystery blonde hasn't been revealed.
But it seems unlikely that their relationship worked out as he recently spoke about how difficult it is to find someone who won't mind accompanying him as he fulfils his royal responsibilities.
'It's sort of: "Oh my god, he's a prince." But no. The job that it entails - I mean look at me, I'm 27 years old,' Harry told CBS News.
'I'm not so much searching for someone to fulfil the role, but obviously, you know, finding someone that would be willing to take it on.'
