Cheryl Cole's new single Call My Name is No 1
Cheryl Cole has congratulated Gary Barlow on being awarded an OBE.

The Geordie singer sent her greetings to Gazza on Twitter after the 41-year-old Take That star praised her new single Call My Name for reaching No 1 - despite it knocking his latest track off the top spot.

'Thank you Mr. OBE. Proud of you ;), Cheryl, 28, wrote.

Gary - who sang a duet with the Girls Aloud star at last weekend's Jubilee concert - was thrilled to receive royal recognition on the Queen's birthday honours list alongside Kate Winslet and Miltary Wives Choir conductor Gareth Malone.

'Thank you for all your kind messages ! OBE hey ! And for doing something I love ! #happydays,' he Tweeted on Saturday.
