Perrie Edwards was left red-faced yesterday after it appeared she spelt boyfriend Zayn Malik's name incorrectly.
The singer's band Little Mix had posted some of their favourite things on photo-sharing site Pinterest - one of which was a snap of One Direction star Zayn, 19.
Unfortunately and embarrassingly for Perrie, the 1D heartthrob's name was written 'Zayne'.
'You spelled zayn wrong... auks,' commented a fan.
Another wrote: 'Lol you got his name wrong...'
But Perrie, who got to know Zayn in November when they recorded The X Factor charity single together, soon explained what had happened.
'Just to clarify. The alphabet was typed up wrong after we wrote it on paper. I am aware of how to spell my own boyfriends name :) Perrie <3,' Tweeted the 18-year-old.
Zayn's name has since been corrected.
