Niall Horan is in America with One Direction
Niall Horan fancies a new look.

The One Direction star is considering ditching his famous blond locks in favour of a darker 'do.

'My natural hair colour is nearly black,' Niall, 18, tells Channel 955.

'So I'm thinking about heading towards that kind of thing, because I've been doing this for a while.'

But it's not quite that simple for Niall - boss Simon Cowell, 52, is reported to have opposed his plans. 

'Niall put in a text to him asking if he could change his hair colour,' a source tells The Sun.

'Simon was straight back on to him with a short reply: "No way."'
