The Queen is celebrating 60 years on the throne
Over 1,000 boats took part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant yesterday to celebrate the 60-year reign of Her Majesty The Queen.

Starting at 2pm and finishing at 6pm, a massive assortment of vessels headed from Battersea Bridge to Tower Bridge with the Royal Rowbarge Gloriana, adorned with streamers and Union Jack flags.

Chartwell carried the Queen and Royal Family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Despite the rain, which got heavier during the day, crowds are lined the river bank to see the procession with umbrellas at the ready.

The achievement of Prince William's 86-year-old grandmother Queen Elizabeth II is also being celebrated with an estimated 10,000 street parties this weekend and today the Diamond Jubilee Concert takes place in front of Buckingham Palace.

Stars performing include Gary Barlow, Annie Lennox, Robbie Williams, Will.i.am, Jessie J, Cliff Richard, Ed Sheeran, Tom Jones, Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Paul McCartney.
