One Direction have got a loyal British fan in actor and writer James Corden.
But James, 33 - who's currently in New York after taking his West End hit One Man, Two Guvnors to Broadway - had a little trouble getting near the boys when he visited them during their recent US tour.
'One Direction are bloody huge [in the US]. I went to see them at their hotel recently and it was extraordinary,' says James.
'I went at 1am after a show and thought it would be quiet but there were like 70 girls outside.'
James can't believe how successful Louis Tomlinson, 20, Zayn Malik, 19, plus 18-year-olds Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan have been overseas.
He says their American followers are just as friendly as British One Directioners.
'They were just waiting patiently for them,' James tells the Sunday Mirror.
'I've not met a soul who wants to see The Wanted over One Direction. The thirst for those boys is insane.'
