Richard and Judy: Kate Middleton is 30 so she'd be wise to get on with having a baby
The couple say that Kate, who celebrated her first wedding anniversary on 29 April, is at the right age to get pregnant now that she's passed her milestone 30th birthday.
'Already some people are impatiently waiting for "an announcement". You know. The one about the impending patter of tiny feet,' say the couple.
'Princess Diana conceived William on her honeymoon but Kate's a product of the age and these days many new wives are in no hurry to sprog.
'But as she's 30 perhaps she might be wise to get on with it.'
Richard, 55, and Judy, 63, think Kate has done a brilliant job of adjusting to becoming a fully fledged member of the Royal Family since marrying William, 29.
They reckon the announcement of a baby would come as a much needed boost for the country.
'Kate hasn't put a dainty foot wrong in her first year as William's bride. She looks gorgeous, she's poised and graceful, she and Wills are obviously in love and the whole world loves them,' the couple write in the Daily Express.
'I'm betting the royal pram will have its tiny new passenger sometime next summer.'
