REVEALED The cosy royal-themed Suffolk pub where Wills took Kate on their wedding anniversary
The couple had a drink of champagne at the bar on Saturday night before escaping to the £165-a-night Swan Room, which boasts a four-poster bed and bath in the middle of the room.
'We were aware that some special guests were arriving but we didn't know just how special,' says general manager Gareth Clarke.
Earlier in the day the couple attended Kate's school friend's wedding in the nearby village of Wingfield - and they took their pet dog Lupo with them.
'He was running around on the terrace with our 5-year-old daughter Grace,' Helen Radbourne, whose pub the De La Pole Arms looks on to the church, tells the Daily Mirror.
'Kate went up to her and had a little chat and William said hello to my husband and made a joke about it being "a nice day for it" because it was pouring down with rain.'
The next day, Wills, 29, and Kate, 30, enjoyed a fry-up breakfast at The Crown before leaving for their home in Anglesey.
