Rita Ora has revealed that she was given the chance to record Cheryl Cole's new track Call My Name.
The quirky singer, who had a No 1 hit in February on DJ Fresh's Hot Right Now, likes the song but says it wasn't right for her.
'I heard Call My Name quite a while ago because I was offered it,' says Rita, 21.
'I turned it down.'
Rita wants her music to have a more unique style than 28-year-old Cheryl's tune with Calvin Harris, also 28, which is released on 10 June.
'I don't want to go down the dance route that a lot of other pop stars are doing,' Rita tells The Sun.
'I prefer to have my own sound and do my own thing.'
