Kate Middleton 'asks for a discount on everything she buys'
Kate Middleton hasn't let becoming a member of the Royal Family go to her head.
The 30-year-old Duchess still likes to nab a bargain when she goes shopping near her parents' home in Berkshire.
'Despite being royalty, she still asks for a discount on every purchase,' says the owner of Kate's favourite antique shop Youll's Antiques.
Kate has become a style icon since marrying Prince William last April, but she manages to look amazing without spending a fortune.
She often shops in high street stores such as Reiss, Whistles and LK Bennett and last month wore a dress she'd borrowed from mum Carole to give her first public speech.
Kate is said to get her eye for a cheap deal from the 57-year-old businesswoman.
'Carole is a true bargain-hunter. She has always been very strict with her money and would never allow her daughter to be ripped off - so she taught her how to barter,' the shop owner tells You.
'I always end up giving her the best price - how can you refuse a princess?'
