ENGAGED! Brad Pitt gives Angelina Jolie a diamond sparkler
'Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy,' Brad's rep Cynthia Pett-Dante tells Reuters.
'There's no date set at this time.'
Angie's diamond sparkler - designed by jeweller Robert Procop in collaboration with Brad, 48 - was revealed at a private view for the new Chinese Art Collection at the LA County Museum on 12 April.
The special tablet shape stone is surrounded by a galaxy of smaller stones and took a year to perfect with Brad 'heavily involved' in every creative decision.
The Hollywood stars' kids, who travel with them all over the world, will now no doubt be pressing their mum and dad for a wedding date.
Brad believes their lifestyle is the best education his children can have because they get to experience other cultures.
But the actor admits that he and Angie, 36, are looking to provide a more stable home life for Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5 and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
'We have a base camp in LA and we're trying to establish a base camp in France, because our kids have a normal life there,' says Brad.
'People let us be in peace, and that's wonderful.'
