Louis Walsh ends friendship with Cheryl Cole after she slags off his management of Girls Aloud
Music boss Louis, 59, worked with the band following their win on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002 - but Cheryl doesn't reckon he was very hands-on.
'Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it,' claims Cheryl, 28, in Marie Claire.
'We didn't talk to him or anything like that.
'He just took a cheque.'
She also says that Louis publicly picked on her band's weight and called them 'fat'.
Louis - who also worked with Cheryl on The X Factor - is shocked and angered by her scathing remarks.
'As far as I'm concerned, our friendship is over,' Louis tells the Daily Mirror.
'I've no idea why she's made these comments but, in my eyes, it says a lot about her.
'I thought we were friends.
'I won't stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now I'd give her a piece of my mind.'
