What would Katy Perry say? Russell Brand arrested after pap's iPhone lobbed through window
Russell Brand forked out $5,000 bail after he was arrested on suspicion of losing his cool with a photographer this week.
The comedian allegedly 'flipped out' at paparazzo Timothy Jackson, snatching his Apple iPhone and hurling it at a law firm's window.
'Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory,' Tweeted Russell, 36, after the incident.
Katy Perry's ex is later reported to have turned himself in at a New Orleans police station after learning he was a wanted man.
Russell, who announced at the end of last year that he and Katy, 27, were divorcing, was charged on 2 counts of simple criminal damage to property, reports TMZ.
Back in 2010 Russell was arrested at LAX Airport after an alleged altercation with a photographer - and Katy was quick to defend her man's actions.
'If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me. #standbyyourman #don't f*** with the Brands,' Tweeted Katy.
